Confirm the permit authority for your address

A Puyallup mailing address does not by itself establish whether a property is inside city limits. Confirm the address or parcel before deciding which permit office to use.

For property inside the city, start with the City of Puyallup permitting portal. For unincorporated Pierce County, see Pierce County residential permits. Permit and inspection requirements depend on the proposed work.

Planning a wall opening, moving fixtures or rebuilding damaged areas? Include those changes in the initial discussion. Existing construction, concealed conditions and any engineering or permit requirements need to be addressed in the written scope.

04 / The process

A clear scope before construction.

A useful proposal starts with the existing home and the changes you want to make.

  1. Share the location and the full picture

Send your city or ZIP, current photographs and a short list of changes. Mention connected rooms, known damage and any mitigation already completed.

  2. Review the conditions and priorities

Discuss what stays, what changes and which selections or site details need to be resolved. Access, concealed utilities and structural work can affect the plan.

  3. Define the written scope

Confirm included work, selections, allowances, exclusions and responsibilities for permits and inspections. Scheduling follows the agreed scope and material availability.

  4. Coordinate construction and closeout

Carry out the agreed work, document approved changes and review the completed scope and remaining items before closeout.

06 / Common questions

Before you start.

Which page should I use for my remodeling project?

Use the Puyallup kitchen or bathroom service page for work focused on that room. For several connected rooms, start with the home renovation service. The reconstruction and deck pages cover those separate scopes. If you are unsure, send photographs and describe the full project.

Does a Puyallup address mean my permit comes from the city?

No. A Puyallup mailing address does not by itself confirm that a property is inside city limits. Check the address or parcel with the relevant jurisdiction. The City of Puyallup handles city properties; Pierce County handles residential permitting for unincorporated county properties. Requirements depend on the work.

Can a kitchen and bathroom be planned together?

Yes. Describe both rooms and any connected flooring, trim, plumbing or layout work when requesting an estimate. Reviewing the combined scope helps identify shared work, selections and scheduling needs. The written proposal should state what is included and excluded.

Can you rebuild after a water-damage mitigation company has finished?

Yes. Bezruchuk provides reconstruction after emergency mitigation, drying and stabilization are complete. Share what was removed, any available mitigation documents and the rooms affected so the remaining repairs and finish work can be evaluated.

What should I send when requesting an estimate?

Send your property city or ZIP, current photographs, the rooms or outdoor areas involved and the changes you want. Include approximate dimensions if available, known damage, any existing plans and your preferred timing. A project-specific proposal can then address the work and selections.
